Recording our Latest CD 2022
"Still That Way Today"
"Still That Way Today" was recorded "live off the floor". Engineered, mixed and mastered by
Sean Kilback @ Lo Speed Studio, Duncan BC, & Produced by Jack Lavin.
Jack played Bass and worked with Sean in every detail to create the feel and style that the
South Island Rhythm Kings have strived for in their past 3 recordings.
Huge gratitude to Sean and Jack for their insight, contributions & support in this project!

My Honey Bunny and I saw the South Island Rhythm Kings at the Osborne Bay pub last evening and they were great! Mike is rocking as hard as he ever has and part of that is due to his son Carson tearing it up on guitar and vocals. Carson plays without a pick and has great tone. He's really nailing the sound for these guys and plays tons of tasty licks. He's not flashy but a true Blues band doesn't require that or really even need that! Carson plays all the right stuff at the right time with the right tone. Gotta love that! Now that he's getting older he's starting to look like a Blues veteran (wearing shades helps with that).
I had a nice conversation with Carson and told him how much I liked his style and playing.
